About this blog

This blog began as a way to document my experiences as a Fulbright Fellow. I studied Finnish textile design, especially the company Marimekko, through an affiliation with the Aalto University in Helsinki.

Now, the blog has evolved into a means of updating friends and family members about upcoming events or links to publications. The blog will also serve as an informal catalog of my writings and work as a visual artist. I will post pictures of my travels, sketches, drawings, paintings and images of anything that has been relevant to my practice as a painter.

My sister took this photo of me in my old apartment in Pontiac, Michigan. I am holding a cd in my hand and making a rainbow.

Lucky you! I don’t know too much about fabrics but I love Marimekko. I look forward to your posts.
