More from Helsinki’s Season of Light! These pictures were taken this evening in the Kasaniemi Park and this installation, entitled Good Light, Bad Light is the work of the Finnish Light Artist Tülay Schakir.

Did you enjoy it? It took awhile for me to realize there was something at the park.

I like that the event has expanded to new locations but this year the “performances” are more like background music than a show that I would stop to watch.

Yes, I liked this installation at the Kasaniemi Park. It’s sort of creepy walking around the park lit up like this.

What performances are there other than the Fire Circus? I haven’t seen anything else!

For Helsinkians Kaisaniemi park is one of the creepiest places anyway.

I think the fire circus is the only performance. Last year the lighting on both the Helsinki cathedral and the parliament house were performances themselves.

It should be all in here:

The Helsinki Cathedral is sort of an intense experience! Thanks for the link. I hope to check out Parliament and Finlandia Hall sometime soon 🙂

Here you can see how it was a lot different last year: (press the > icon to see the next photo)

Finlandia Hall is not part of the show, it was and will be illuminitated before and after this event.

Thanks! The images of the Helsinki Cathedral look totally different from this year’s show–wish I could have seen last year’s Season of Light!
